Memorial Residence

Photography: Julie Soefer

Set in Houston’s Memorial area, this expansive home was designed by Jackson Warren for empty nesters seeking a more central, lifestyle-driven residence—one that could accommodate frequent visits from children and grandchildren without feeling oversized or underused.

Here, the focus shifts to gathering. The layout emphasizes shared spaces—kitchen, living, and entertaining areas that can comfortably scale up for a full house while remaining manageable day to day. Materials and furnishings strike a balance between polish and durability, allowing the home to feel elevated without sacrificing ease.

Spaces are tailored, functional, and quietly layered, with an emphasis on how the home is used. A house designed for this stage of life and retreat and home base.

“It would take a lot of shopping and the ability to understand the scale of this large home to fill its many rooms, including seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and three powder bathrooms.”
