Set in Houston’s River Oaks neighborhood, this recently renovated home was further refined and furnished, with a focus on key entertaining spaces including the dining room, lounge, and bar. The approach centered on elevating the interiors—introducing a more personal point of view through material, lighting, and finish.

In the dining room, the design draws on the homeowners’ time in London, balancing traditional craftsmanship with a more modern Southern sensibility. A hand-painted De Gournay wallcovering wraps the space in soft movement, while a sculptural chandelier and tailored furnishings bring structure and contrast. The palette is restrained but expressive, allowing texture and detail to carry the room.

“Warm and inviting, this dining room beautifully reflects the client’s history and personality. I love how the designer has drawn on meaningful references from the client’s past to create a space that feels both deeply personal and effortlessly comfortable.”

A former study was reimagined as a fully integrated bar, anchored by a backlit onyx wall that casts a warm, ambient glow. Surrounded by deep millwork and layered materials, the space shifts easily from functional to atmospheric—an intimate counterpoint to the home’s more formal rooms.
